You've always wanted to visit Europe, but you're stumped as to where to begin? Europe may be small, but the number of countries to choose from is staggering—nearly 50! When planning a trip to Europe, it can be difficult to know where to begin.

For those of you who haven't seen much of Europe, we've put together a list of our favourite destinations. So, let's start thinking about our trip to Europe to mark the impending return of our wanderlust.

Meteora, Greece Is One Of The Best Destinations In Europe

When people talk about the exciting places to visit in Europe, they always mention Athens, Greece. We have to agree. Our favourite part of our trip through this exciting part of Greece was when we went inland. Of course, Greece has some of Europe's best beaches. So, if you're in Europe, put Meteora at the top of your bucket list.

Meteora is a must-see if you plan to visit Athens as part of your European tour. It takes about four hours to drive to the stunning monasteries perched atop massive cliff spires. This is a must-see location.

Italy's Amalfi Coast

There are few places more beautiful than the Amalfi Coast in Italy, which is located in Europe. This is one of Europe's most romantic honeymoon destinations. It's a must-see location in Europe, with cliffside villages and Positano in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Treat yourself to something nice right now.

Paris

There's a good reason why Paris is Europe's most popular tourist destination. There's no way to go wrong. For all the times we've been there, we never tyre of seeing it. Walking along the Seine and admiring the Eiffel Tower are all you need to do to enjoy Paris. You can also take advantage of the city's numerous museums (we visited the Louvre four times before finding the Mona Lisa) or stunning architecture.

It's the best European vacation spot because it has all of Europe's most popular attractions. For your first European vacation, Paris should be your first stop.. It is consistently ranked as one of Europe's most beautiful cities, and for good reason.

Amsterdam

People dream of visiting Amsterdam as soon as they arrive in Europe. This is a city of canals built for tourists like Van Gogh. When travelling through Europe, it's a must-visit destination because of its vibrant city centre, which is bike-friendly and pedestrian-friendly, with colourful buildings lining the waterfront that are full of cafes.

Because we haven't been there in a while, we don't have it as high on our list as we would like. When we're able to fly again, we may plan a trip to Europe for the first time.
